Gives rise to:
- Bones.
Ectoderm

Gives rise to:[1]
- Neural crest.
- Cranial nerves, sensory nerves.
- Medulla of adrenal gland.
- Pigment cells (e.g. melanocytes).
- Pharyngeal arch & cartilages.
- Neural tube.
- CNS, retina, pineal body, posterior pituitary.
