ANSER (organization)

Analytic Services, Inc. doing business as ANSER is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public service research institute based in Arlington, Virginia. ANSER provides studies, analysis, and technical support related to national security, homeland security, and public policy to the U.S. federal government. As of fiscal year 2023, they are #17 on the list of Top 100 Contractors of the U.S. federal government, with an expenditure allocation of over $5.3 billion.^[2] Since 2019,^[3] its president and CEO is Stephen Hopkins,^[4] who previously served as ANSER's COO, as well as having managed complex programs for the DoD, NASA, and the Intelligence Community.^[5]

ANSER was created in 1958 with the assistance of RAND Corporation^[6] to offer the U.S. Air Force a technically qualified unbiased organization that could provide analysis for evolving meission requirements. Today it offers expertise in systems engineering, acquisition, risk assessment, and technology evaluation to U.S. Federal Government agencies like the Department of Defense. Its stated mission is providing innovative and actionable solutions to the complex national security challenges facing the U.S.^[7]
