Amirul Islam Kamal (Bengali: আমিরুল ইসলাম কামাল) is a Awami League politician in Bangladesh and a former member of parliament for Noakhali-14.

Early life and education

Kamal was born in Hatiya Upazila, Noakhali District, Chittagong Division, Bengal Presidency, British India.

Career

After completing graduation Kamal started business in was Hatiya Upazila. He also got involved in local politics. He served as the member and Chairman of Chandnandi Union Council. In 1964 he was elected to provincial Assembly of East Pakistan on the ticket of Muslim League. Later he joined the Awami League and was elected to parliament from Noakhali-14 as an Awami League candidate in 1973.[1] He was re-elected in 1979.[2]
