Anela (Sardinian: Anèla) is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Sassari in the autonomous island region of Sardinia in Italy, located about 140 kilometres (87 mi) north of Cagliari and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) southeast of Sassari. It has a population of 561.[2]
Anela borders the following municipalities: Bono, Bultei, Nughedu San Nicolò.
Anela, the oldest village of the historical region of Goceano, is known for Forest'Anela an holm oak woods very popular for trekking tourism and Domus de Janas Sos Furrighesos.[3][4][5]
Demographics
As of 2025, Anela has a population of 561, of which 50.1% are male and 49.9% are female, compared to the national average of 49.0% and 51.0% respectively. Minors make up 10.3% of the population, and seniors make up 34.0%, compared to the national average of 14.9% and 24.7% respectively.[2]
