Arvind Muthu Krishnan

Arvind Muthu Krishnan (born 16 March 2000) is an Indian basketball player from Tamil Nadu.[1] He plays for the India men's national basketball team as a point guard. He represents Tamil Nadu in domestic tournaments.[2]

Career

Muthu Krishnan began his international career in 2018 when he represented the India youth team at the FIBA U18 Asian Championship. In 2021, he played for the senior India team in the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers.[3] In 2022, he played three matches in the FIBA Asia Cup.

In 2023, he represented India in 10 matches during the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifiers. He also played in the FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Syria.[1]

In August 2025, he played eight matches in the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers.[4] He was the top scorer in the opening match against Jordan.[5]

Later in 2025, he was part of the India squad that competed in the FIBA Asia Cup and also represented India in two matches at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers.[1]

In March 2025, he led India in the 3x3 Men's Basketball Asia Cup in Singapore. Along with Harsh Dagar and Pranav Prince, he helped India reach the quarterfinals.[6]
