Catherine Shepherd

Catherine Shepherd is an English[1] comedic actress, writer and director.[2]

Career

On television, she played the title role Sally in Sally4Ever (HBO/Sky Atlantic), the BAFTA winning comedy by Julia Davis.

She played the character April in the sitcom Peep Show.[3]

Other credits include Paddington and Paddington 2 directed by Paul King, Harry and Paul's story of the 2s, Ruddy Hell it's Harry and Paul, The Comic Strip Presents Red Top, The IT Crowd, The Peter Serafinowicz Show, the BBC comedy Twenty Twelve written by John Morton.

As a writer, Catherine has written an 8 part drama series with Various Artists Limited for BBC, Two Weeks in August, to be aired on BBC One Spring 2026.

She previously wrote on Georgia Pritchett's TV adaptation of the hit podcast The Shrink Next Door for Apple TV, starring Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell. She wrote on Buccaneers also for Apple TV.

Catherine's feature Like a Virgin made the 2011 Brit List. She also wrote and directed the short film See Me for Film 4, starring Olivia Colman.
