Cherrybrook Public School is a public co-educational primary school located in the Sydney suburb of Cherrybrook, New South Wales, Australia. The school was established in 1971 and opened on October 28, 1972. As of 2024, there were 936 students enrolled. [2]
History
To accommodate for a growing population in the suburb, a new primary school was established in Cherrybrook, named after the suburb. Students were re-located from West Pennant Hills Public School to the school. Originally starting as a class of 7 students, the school has significantly grown, having over 900 students as of 2024.
Over the years, significant developement was made to the school to accommodate for its growing population. The 3-6 COLA roof was expanded in 2018. [3] A new playground was installed in 2019, officially opened by Julian Leeser on 7 May.[4][5][6]
