Cruz David Beckham (born 20 February 2005 in Madrid, Spain) is a British singer and musician, best known as the youngest son of former England footballer David Beckham and singer/designer Victoria Beckham.

Beckham released his first single "If Every Day Was Christmas" in December 2016 as a charity track to benefit Global's Make Some Noise.[1]

In February 2026, Beckham announced his first ever tour with his band The Breakers, following it up with the single "For Your Love"[2]

His musical style has been described as guitar driven pop and indie rock, drawing inspiration from classic British bands and contemporary alternative artists.

Early life

Cruz was born on 20 February 2005 in Madrid, Spain, during the period when his father was playing for Real Madrid. He is the youngest son of former professional footballer David Beckham and fashion designer and former Spice Girls member Victoria Beckham. He has three siblings: Brooklyn Beckham, Romeo Beckham, and Harper Beckham. [3]

Growing up in a well known and internationally recognized family, Beckham spent his childhood between the United States and the United Kingdom. He spent his early years in Los Angeles, where he lived until the age of six and after the family returned to London, he continued growing up becoming familiar with British culture. Despite the intense media attention surrounding his family, his parents sought to provide him with as normal a childhood as possible, balancing public life with private family time. From an early age Cruz showed a strong interest in music and performing. Within his family he was known for his enthusiasm for singing and entertaining others, often performing for relatives and at informal gatherings. His mother's musical background and his father's international fame exposed him to the entertainment industry from a young age, which influenced his creative development. [4]

Cruz went to private schools in London juggling his studies with other interests especially music. As a kid he started learning guitar and slowly got better at singing too. Family videos and little public appearances sometimes showed him performing, which got some early attention from fans and the media. Growing up in a creative high-profile family meant he was around artists, athletes, and performers from a young age which gave him a peek into the entertainment world. Those experiences really helped him decide to take music seriously when he hit his teens.[5]

Music career

Beckham began his music career at a very young age releasing his first single, If Every Day Was Christmas in December 2016 when he was just 11 years old. The festive track premiered on Capital FM's breakfast show with all proceeds donated to the charity Global's Make Some Noise, marking his first official step into the music industry. Although the early debut received mixed reactions from the public, it gave Beckham valuable experience in recording and performing laying the foundation for his future musical ambitions.[6]

In October 2025, Cruz returned to the spotlight with two new singles, Optics and Lick The Toad showing a shift toward a more organic, guitar driven sound influenced by indie and rock styles. During this time he began collaborating closely with other musicians refining his song writing and stage presence. A big influence on his music around this time was his girlfriend, Jackie Apostel a Brazilian-German songwriter and producer. They first met at a studio session set up by their managers. Jackie helped him shape his sound and was there supporting him when he dropped his 2025 singles. She handles all of his executive production and creative work, working together with him on his entire project. The two often shared behind the scenes clips from studio sessions and music video shoots on social media and Jackie has spoken about how dedicated and passionate Cruz is about his music. [7]

Cruz and his band The Breakers performed at numerous intimate venues across London and the UK, earning praise for their energy and strong connection with audiences. In early 2026, Beckham released For Your Love, a single that reflected his growing confidence and artistic development. The music video featured personal touches and nods to his influences, including a cameo by his maternal grandfather, Tony Adams helping to further define his identity beyond his early pop debut. [8]

As his profile continued to rise Cruz Beckham and The Breakers announced their first UK and European tour beginning in February 2026, with performances in cities including Birmingham, London, Glasgow, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin. Many dates sold out quickly showing the strong interest fans had in his live shows.[9] In interviews and public appearances Cruz has expressed his desire to connect with listeners and bring joy through his music. Cruz has said he hopes to put a "smile on people's faces" with his music, "people need it right now".[10]

Personal life

Cruz Beckham has been in a relationship with Jackie Apostel, a Brazilian‑German songwriter and music producer, since mid 2024. The couple were first spotted together at the Glastonbury Music Festival in June 2024 sparking early rumours about their connection before they confirmed their romance publicly later that year. Cruz made the relationship official in October 2024 by posting a heartfelt birthday message for Apostel on his Instagram Stories. Jackie Apostel is of Brazilian and German descent and has lived and worked in both countries. She began playing piano at a very young age which eventually guided her into songwriting and music production. Apostel released an EP titled The Reformation in 2020 but later shifted her focus from performing as a solo artist to working behind the scenes as a writer and producer. [11]

Throughout their time together Jackie has played a supportive role in Cruz's musical journey frequently sharing behind the scenes photos from studio sessions and music video shoots on her social accounts. In posts she praised Cruz's dedication to his craft. She has defended their relationship, calling him "kind, funny, smart, and mature".[12]
