Dizzy 3 in a Half – Into Magicland (also known by the unofficial title Dizzy 3.5) is a mini-adventure game that served as an introduction to Magicland Dizzy. The game was given away for free exclusively with the January 1991 issue of Crash magazine (issue 84), for the ZX Spectrum platform.[1][2]

The game features only five screens and is the smallest game in the entire Dizzy series. It is also the only game in the series in which Danny, Dizzy's cousin, appears.

Plot

Dizzy wakes up one morning and discovers that the Yolkfolk village is completely deserted. The only person he manages to find is his cousin Danny, who is stuck in a tree.

Danny tells Dizzy that the evil wizard Zaks has returned, kidnapped everyone from Yolkfolk, and taken them to a place called Magicland. In order to reach them and save them, Dizzy must repair Grand Dizzy’s teleport machine. At the end of the game, Dizzy teleports and arrives at the first screen of Magicland Dizzy, where the main adventure effectively begins.

Credits

The game's design was carried out by Big Red Software and The Oliver Twins. Programming was done by R. Fred Williams. Graphics were created by Neil Adamson, and publishing was handled by Codemasters, in collaboration with Crash Magazine.
