Dony Oskaria (born 26 September 1969) is an Indonesian official currently serving as the head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency (Badan Pengaturan Badan Usaha Milik Negara). He previously served as the acting minister of state-owned enterprises, succeeding Erick Thohir, who was appointed minister of youth and sports by President Prabowo Subianto in the Red White Cabinet.

Oskaria also serves as the chief operating officer of Danantara (since 2025) and was formerly the president director of Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (2021–2024).[1] He has also held the position of vice president director of Garuda Indonesia (2020–2021).[2]

Early life and education

Oskaria was born in Tanjung Alam, Tanah Datar, West Sumatra, in 1969. After completing his primary education in his hometown, he attended secondary school in Padang and later Jakarta.

He initially studied accounting at Andalas University in Padang, but later transferred to Padjadjaran University, where he majored in International Relations. He completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Asian Institute of Management in the Philippines in 2009.[3]

Career

Oskaria began his career at Bank Universal, starting as a customer service officer and eventually becoming the head of the private banking division. In 2004, he joined Bank Mega and subsequently held directorial positions within various CT Corp subsidiaries, including director of Bank Mega (2012–2014),[2] president director of Trans Studio Mall (2014–2020), president director of AntaVaya (2014–2020), and director of hospitality & entertainment at CT Corp (2018–2020). Following CT Corp's investment in Garuda Indonesia, he served as a member of the board of commissioners (2014–2019), vice president director (2020–2021), and Commissioner of Citilink (2019–2022).

In January 2016, President Joko Widodo appointed him to the National Economic and Industry Committee (KEIN) as a member of the President's Advisory Board for Economy and Industry, where he chaired the working group for the tourism industry.[3][4]

In 2021, he was appointed president director of Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia, a position he held until 2024. He stepped down from this role upon being appointed vice minister of state-owned enterprises.[5]

On 24 February 2025, President Prabowo Subianto launched the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Danantara. Oskaria was appointed chief operating officer, serving alongside Rosan Roeslani as CEO and Pandu Patria Sjahrir as chief investment officer.[6]

In partnership with Muhammad Lutfi, Oskaria has developed several hotels, restaurants, and resorts in Jakarta and Padang. He is also active in developing the agro-industry sector in West Sumatra.
