Faculdade de Engenharia de Sorocaba
Centro Universitário Facens,[1] or UniFacens,[2] formerly known as Faculdade de Engenharia de Sorocaba, is the first higher education institution in engineering founded in Sorocaba, Brazil. Maintained by the Associação Cultural de Renovação Tecnológica Sorocabana (ACRTS), it is recognized as a Federal Public Utility entity, non-profit in nature, and certified as philanthropic by the Brazilian Ministry of Education. Located in a regional hub of educational institutions and industries, the institution is widely recognized for excellence and employability in the region.
With a highly qualified faculty at both academic and professional levels, as well as quality infrastructure equipped with technologically updated laboratories, these factors are decisive for the recognition of the pedagogical work developed by the institution and, above all, for the quality of the professionals it graduates.

Innovation Centers
UniFacens operates under a smart education concept, with “hands-on” learning as its main methodology. LINCE (Innovation and Student Competitions Laboratory) is the innovation center dedicated to competitions, where undergraduate and graduate students develop projects that come to life and simulate the experience of a company, aiming to provide practical technical and managerial learning. International Relations Office
The International Relations Office (DRI) is the department responsible for the internationalization and multiculturalization of UniFacens, developing partnership programs with institutions around the world to offer the best educational and global opportunities for its students.The responsibilities of the DRI include:
- Establishing international partnerships;
- Developing exchange programs for students, faculty, and staff;
- Developing Research & Development programs with international cooperation;
- Developing the UniFacens Without Borders program;
- Joint activities with foreign higher education institutions;
- International internship exchange programs;
- Advisory support for students in the Science Without Borders program;
- Representation in international matters.
