Farhad Hossain Azad (born 12 March 1966) is a Bangladeshi politician. He was elected as a Member of Parliament from Panchagarh-2 in the 2026 National Parliament election as a candidate of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), contesting with the party’s electoral symbol, the sheaf of paddy.[1]

Early life and education

He was born in Menagram of Boda Upazila in Panchagarh District. He has one son. He completed his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Dhaka. He later went abroad for higher studies and gained specialization in international relations and development economics.[2]

Political career

He became involved in politics in 1991. He is currently the Rural Development Affairs Secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party and the Member Secretary of the Panchagarh District BNP.
