Haider Rafique is an American business executive. He is chief marketing officer[1] and global managing partner at OKX. He previously was Head of Growth at Blockchain.com.[2]

Education and early career

Rafique was born in Pakistan.[3] He attended school in Abu Dhabi.[4] He graduated from Northwestern University in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in journalism and a minor in business. His career started with stunts at advertising firms including McCann and J. Walter Thompson.[5][2] From 2011 to 2014, he served as Head of Product Marketing at Microsoft, and later as a Director of Product Marketing at CA Technologies until 2018.[6][7]

Career

Rafique later joined Blockchain.com as Head of Growth until 2020, where he led the rebranding of blockchain.info into Blockchain.com.[5] He joined the cryptocurrency exchange OKX as Group Chief Marketing Officer in 2022.[8]

During his tenure at OKX, Rafique has been credited with leading the company's rebranding from OKEx to OKX.[9] His work included sponsorships with the McLaren Formula 1 team and Manchester City.[10][11] The role later expanded to include Global Managing Partner for Government and Investor Relations.[12]

Personal life

Rafique is based in California.[13]
