Joel Vicent Joseph (born March 31, 1985), also known by his stage name Mr Joel Joseph and formerly Mr Puaz, is a Tanzanian talent manager, singer and entrepreneur.[2][3] Joseph worked as the artist manager of Harmonize, the first artist signed to WCB Wasafi.[4]

Career

In 2016, Joseph began managing Tanzanian hip-hop artist Shetta. He later represented other Tanzanian musicians, including Nedy Music.[3][5]

In 2018, Joseph joined WCB Wasafi, a record label owned by Diamond Platnumz, to manage Harmonize[4][6] Joseph and WCB Wasafi parted ways in 2019.[7][8]

In October 2019, he was nominated in the Africa Entertainment Awards USA (AEAUSA), alongside other African talent managers such as Babu Tale, Seven Mosha, Sunday Are, Asa Asika, and Ubi Franklin.[9][10]

Joseph founded Puaz Music Records, a Tanzania-based record label. He also operates a clothing business in Tanzania that offers apparel and accessories.[2][3][11]

Music

In 2023, Joseph rebranded from his former stage name Mr Puaz to Mr Joel Joseph. He released singles including Party La Leo, My Time, and Rise & Shine[12] off the EP Afro Jungle. In 2025, he released an extended play (EP) titled Afro Jungle,[13] which features the tracks Mash Mash, Simama, Higher Love, and Nakupenda.[14]
