Jyothi Engineering College (Autonomous), established in 2002, under the aegis of Trichur Educational Trust, founded by the Catholic Archdiocese of Trichur, is one of the leading engineering colleges in Kerala . This college is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala and offers various BTech, MTech, PhD programmes in Engineering, Science and Technology. The Archdiocese of Trichur has an illustrious track record of a century and a quarter in the education sector.

Jyothi Engineering College is a NAAC re-accredited institution with Grade ‘A’. Six of the undergraduate programs offered by Jyothi Engineering College have NBA accreditation, which indicates that the college is well recognized for the quality of education it offers. The college is periodically evaluated for the stringent NBA accreditation criterion in order to ensure that it sustains the mandated quality levels.

We are in the midst of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the recent predictions are that 85% of the jobs that will emerge in 2030 have not been invented yet.

Jyothi Engineering College prepares students to become T-Shaped professionals, i.e., professionals who have in-depth expertise in their specific discipline as well as a breadth of competencies in various domains, required in the 21st century. In order to train our students to become “T” shaped professionals, making them “future ready”, the college has set up a “high end” incubation center, viz. Integrated Industrial Incubation Centre (IIIC), in association with TATA Technologies.

Additionally, for the students desirous of being “job creators” rather than “job seekers”, Jyothi Engineering College has also set up a Technology Business Incubator, JEC TBI, foster an entrepreneurial spirit among students and commercialize R&D output and to help students create technology based new enterprises.
