Krugerville is a city in Denton County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,766 in 2020.[4]

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.4 km2), all land.[5]

2020 census

As of the 2020 census, Krugerville had a population of 1,766. The median age was 43.2 years. 23.4% of residents were under the age of 18 and 17.7% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 98.4 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 99.3 males age 18 and over.[7][8] There were 446 families residing in the city.[4]

98.4% of residents lived in urban areas, while 1.6% lived in rural areas.[9]

There were 626 households in Krugerville, of which 37.2% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 72.5% were married-couple households, 8.8% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 13.4% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 12.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.[7]

There were 644 housing units, of which 2.8% were vacant. The homeowner vacancy rate was 0.8% and the rental vacancy rate was 5.1%.[7]
