Laura Anglade
Laura Anglade is a jazz singer.[1] She is most noted as a two-time Juno Award nominee for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year, receiving nods at the Juno Awards of 2023 for Venez donc chez moi,[2] and at the Juno Awards of 2026 for Get Out of Town.[3]
Born in the south of France and raised in Connecticut, she spent several years living in Montreal and Toronto before relocating to New York City.[4]
Trained in classical voice from an early age, Laura built a strong technical foundation. It was when her mentors introduced her to the Great American Songbook that she truly began to find her voice. She discovered the power of interpretation and emotional expression through historical icons of this music, including Ella Fitzgerald, Shirley Horn, Carmen McRae, Blossom Dearie, Anita O’Day, Irene Kral, and Barbra Streisand. The music of French composers Michel Legrand and Charles Trenet, and artists such as Barbara and Jeanne Moreau resonated with her own French roots, and inspired Laura’s love and performance of French repertoire.
An international touring artist, Laura has headlined jazz festivals across the US, Canada, Mexico, UK and Europe, captivating audiences through her innate storytelling. She has performed at renowned stages including Paris' Olympia, London’s Royal Festival Hall, New York's Town Hall, and she is a regular at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. She has also toured in support of acclaimed artists like Melody Gardot and Gregory Porter.
Most recently, Laura performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s Late Show Me Music series, as well as The Kelly Clarkson Show, and appeared in two episodes of HBO’s hit series IT: Welcome to Derry as the jazz singer at The Black Spot Club, further highlighting the range and versatility of her artistic craft.
She is managed by Knitting Factory Management, signed to the Nettwerk Music Group label, and is represented by IMN International Music Network Agency
