Mucahit Bilici is an American Muslim sociologist, columnist and Kurdish public intellectual. His notable works are Hamal Kürt and Finding Mecca in America: How Islam Is Becoming an American Religion (University of Chicago Press, 2012). He is professor of sociology at John Jay College, City University of New York and CUNY Graduate Center.[1] Mucahit Bilici is also Academic Director at Zahra Institute, Chicago.
