Muhadkly Makkatutu Temmalengkang (born 16 October 1983), better known as Muhadkly Acho, is an Indonesian stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and director.
Acho is known for his skill in using unique diction in his comedy sets,[2] which often revolve around romantic relationships and his birthplace in Tanjung Priok, a district in North Jakarta notorious for its high crime rates.
He also frequently performs political comedy at specific events, such as #DearJokowi[3] and Provocative Proactive: Stand Up Night 3 "Reality Bites".[4]
Career
Muhadkly worked at a digital agency for seven years until 2012, where one of his primary responsibilities was network building.[5]
He began his career as a stand-up comedian through the Stand Up Indo community. Since 2011, he has been a regular performer on the television program Stand Up Comedy Show. In 2014, he ventured into acting, making his film debut as Suketi Kuncoro in Luntang Lantung. Later that same year, he appeared in the film adaptation Bajaj Bajuri the Movie.
In 2015, Muhadkly took on his first leading role in the feature film Catatan Akhir Kuliah.
Personal life
Legal case
On 8 March 2015, Muhadkly posted a complaint on his personal blog regarding the facilities at the Green Pramuka City Apartment where he resided. He expressed several grievances, including the developer's unfulfilled promise to convert the apartment area into green open spaces, lack of clarity regarding land certificates, and additional renovation fees charged to residents. On 5 November 2015, Danang Surya Winata, legal counsel for the apartment developer PT Duta Paramindo Sejahtera, reported Muhadkly to the Metro Jaya Regional Police. He was accused of violating Article 27, paragraph 3 of the Information and Electronic Transactions Law (UU ITE), as well as Articles 310 and 311 of the Indonesian Criminal Code regarding defamation.
Muhadkly was summoned by investigators as a witness on 26 April 2017, where he explained the issues he was facing. On 9 June 2017, he was summoned again and named a suspect. Although he attempted to initiate mediation with the developer, he received no response. On 17 July 2017, he complied with a police summons for fingerprinting and suspect photography.[6]
The case concluded after the developer withdrew the police report. Following several meetings between Muhadkly and the management, both parties reached an amicable settlement.[7]
