The following outline is provided as an overview of and topical guide to the University of Toronto:

The University of Toronto (commonly known as U of T) is public research university composed of several colleges and three campuses in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada.[1] Founded in 1827, it is the oldest institution of higher learning in the Canadian province of Ontario and the largest in the country.[2]

Governance

Campuses and colleges

The University of Toronto has three campuses in the cities of Toronto and Mississauga within the Greater Toronto Area. All affiliated colleges are located on the St. George campus in downtown Toronto.

Faculties/divisions

The University of Toronto is composed of more than a dozen academic divisions, most referred to as faculties. These include 14 professional faculties and schools. Each division has its own dean, and varying degrees of differences in policy and history.[1][4]
