Tarique Rahman became the 11th prime minister of Bangladesh after his party, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), won the 2026 election and replaced the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus.[1][2][3] Rahman also personally won election to the Jatiya Sangsad from constituencies including Dhaka‑17 and Bogura‑6.[4][5]
