Sherry Singh is an Indian beauty pageant titleholder who won the title of Mrs Universe 2025.[1]
She was the first Indian winner of the Mrs Universe title. Singh previously won the Mrs India 2024 title and has since worked as a model.[2][3]
Early life
Singh was born and raised in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh.[4] Some media reports have noted her community background as Bhati Gujjar.[5][6]
Education
Singh completed her undergraduate studies at Indraprastha College of Women, University of Delhi.[7] She later pursued a master's degree in fashion merchandising and retailing at the Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI), Noida.[8][9]
Pageantry
Mrs India
Singh participated in national-level beauty pageants and won the Mrs India title in 2024.[10]
Mrs Universe 2025
Singh represented India at the 48th edition of the Mrs Universe pageant, held in Manila, Philippines.[11]
During the national costume round, Singh wore a peacock-themed costume, referencing India's national bird. Following her win, she gave interviews discussing her experience and views on women's participation in pageantry and professional life.[12]
Legal matter
In October 2024, the Bombay High Court issued an interim order temporarily restraining Singh from participating in beauty pageants following a petition filed by the "Mrs India Inc." organisation, citing contractual obligations.[13]
