South Asian Badminton Championships

The South Asian Badminton Championships are a series of badminton tournaments organized by the Badminton Asia governing body to crown the best senior and junior badminton players in South Asia.

History

The championships were first held in 2017, with India hosting the first ever South Asian Junior Championships in Guwahati.[1] In 2019, the Maldives hosted the first South Asian senior tournament in Addu City.[2] The U–17 and U–15 competitions were later added in 2023, with Nepal hosting the tournament for both age groups in Kathmandu.
