Torrente, presidente is an upcoming Spanish film directed by Santiago Segura and the sixth installment of the Torrente film series starring Segura as José Luis Torrente.
Plot
Racist, sexist and homophobic José Luis Torrente makes a comeback, this time preparing a bid for the office of president of the Government of Spain.[1][2]
Cast
Production
Filming began in 2025.[3] Shooting locations included the small municipality of Anchuelo and a bar in the Ciudad Lineal district of Madrid decorated with far-right paraphernalia.[2][4][5] In order to avoid scrutiny, the production crew shot footage in Madrid under the cover title Los años que me quedan.[4] Atresmedia Cine announced a wide collaboration agreement with Bowfinger International Pictures at the 73rd San Sebastián International Film Festival including the film.[6]
Release
Sony Pictures is set to release theatrically the film in Spanish theatres on 13 March 2026.[3]
