Plot
In the year 1209 of Septien calendar, with professor Epstein prediction of the end being at hand, the world of Zemuria is preparing for a historical breakthrough heralded by the republic of Calvard, humanity finally reaching space. With this project attracting the attention of Van Arkride and his solution office as well as Rean Schwarzer of Thors Class VII from the Empire of Erebonia, and Kevin Graham of the Septien Church chasing professor Latoya Hamilton for actions that has her branded a heretic.
It is revealed that president Roy Gramheart's true goal of his project is the destruction of laegjarn's chest, the Sept-Terrion of Time, which has surrounded the planet by a barrier and feeding false footage to those on surface. The laegjarn's chest resets the time to the Great Collapse 1200 years ago whenever humanity's "SiN" value reaches a certain point and humanity reaching space will cause it to happen almost immediately. The process is named the Grand Reset which has already happened 19.999 times.
Gramheart's plan ultimately fails, forcing Hamilton to set her own plan in motion, which has Agnès Claudel, Gramheart's daughter and Epstein's distant grandchild to use the eight Octo-genesis and limit the Grand Reset's reach to the beginning of the first Daybreak game at the cost of her own existence, as it is shown during her first meeting with Van where she disappears into sparkles.
