Name
Anisodiscus adeei A.Mann, 1925
Etymology: Named after the former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State, Alvey Augustus Adee (1842-1924), a skilled photographer of diatoms, who had recently died.
Note: While the other taxa in this genus are fossils from Hungary, this species was described from Philippine waters, and bears more similarity to Discostella.
