- Lectotype: MCZ 4814, collected by S.W. Garman between 1873–1887. [designated by Lazell (1964: 250)]
- Type locality: “St. Lucia”, restricted to “Grande Anse, [Dauphin Quarter,] St. Lucia” by Lazell (1964: 251).
