Name

Coscinodiscus deformatus Mann, 1907

Note: Pantocsek (1903, pl. 28, fig. 411) illustrated his new species, Coscinodiscus deformatus, from Káránd in Hungary (now Cărand in Romania), but did not describe it. A few years later, Mann (1907) described and illustrated his new species from marine sediments collected off the Galapagos Islands. Thus, these two taxa are unlikely to be the same species.
