Type locality: Colombia, Bogota.
Type material: Undisclosed number of Syntypes. Syntype(s) not found.
Synonyms
- Ecpantheria conspersa Walker, 1866 (Original combination)
- Hypercompe conspersa; Watson & Goodger, 1986: 30; Vincent & Laguerre, 2014: 405.
- Note: In the absence of type, Laguerre (2023) did not address this species to allocate it to one subgenus of Hypercompe: Hypercompe, or Pseudocompe. It is taken here as Hypercompe sensu lato, waiting for a possible inclusion in a subgenus in future.
