Minecraft 1.8 trailer is a trailer, promoting the then-upcoming release of Java Edition Beta 1.8, also known as the Adventure Update. The trailer focused on the aspects of exploration from this new update showcasing the new terrain generation and new mobs. It was produced by the YouTube channel Hat Films and uploaded to the official Minecraft channel on September 6, 2011.
Summary
The trailer starts by showing Steve looking out into the distance, with segments of intertitle cards in between. The basic premise is that Steve has built a home and now is gearing up to go and explore this new world filled with new terrain generation. The camera then switches to the villages, ravines, rivers and other world generation related features. It is also possible to see Steve running around this new world and exploring caves and killing mobs.
The trailer ends with an aggravated enderman staring at the viewer at the screen in a village. The title cards then put the words on the screen "just don't look." before the enderman suddenly teleporting closer to the screen.
