How to Identify

A bamboo. It grows 4-8 m tall. The stems are 3 cm across. The internodes are 12-15 cm long. There are 2 or 3 leaves on the last branch. The leaf blades are 5-12 cm long by 1-2 cm wide.

Production

It is one of the first bamboos to send up new shoots in the spring.
