How to Identify
A bamboo. It grows 10 m tall. The culms are 6 cm across. The internodes are purple-green but become grey-green. They are 26 cm long. They have a white powder. There are 2 or 3 leaves on the end branch.

Plants can be grown by seeds or division.
Production
The shoots are harvested in spring when 8 cm tall.
