The Illager Empire^[1] was an invasive dictatorship created by the Arch-Illager, under guidance from the Orb of Dominance. It was formed by uniting several clans of Illagers.

History

Spoiler warning! This section contains detailed information about Minecraft Dungeons: The Rise of the Arch-Illager that may spoil your enjoyment of it. Read at your own risk!

Prior to being officially established under Archie (the Arch-Illager), the Illager clan was led by Walda, and based in a woodland mansion. After finding the Orb of Dominance, Archie would take power from Walda, and begin ruling the Illager clan, relocating the group to the newly-created Highblock Halls, and creating infrastructure such as the Fiery Forge and Redstone Mines locations.

After a failed attempt to attack the Squid Coast village, foiled by a group of Undead, Archie would ally his people with the Nameless One, both to procure more soldiers, and secure a promise of safety, that no Undead would ever attack the Illagers again.

Subsequently, the Illagers would attack the village again, this time succeeding in taking it over, capturing Villagers as prisoners for work in the Redstone Mines; during their reign, the Illagers would begin taking over several of the island realms, as evident by the Illagers’ presence in the Howling Peaks DLC and the Creeping Winter DLC, respectively, as well as the optional sub dungeon, The Bilge, in the Coral Rise level, which shows an Illager banner hanging near the back of the ship.

After being defeated by the four canonical heroes, the Illager Empire would dissolve, and the island realms’ tribes would become independent groups.

Territory

At its peak, Archie's empire controlled the whole mainland. Currently, the Illager Empire controls no known territory.
