The undead are a category of mobs that are neither alive nor dead. They naturally ignite and combust if exposed to sunlight, however, due to a magical pact made between the Arch-Illager and the Nameless One,^[1] they were rendered immune to sunlight during the events of Minecraft Dungeons. They take additional damage from weapons enchanted with Smiting.
