1.21.11 Pre-Release 5 (known as 1.21.11-pre5 in the launcher) is the fifth and final pre-release for Java Edition 1.21.11, released on December 3, 2025.[1]
A separate unobfuscated version of 1.21.11 Pre-Release 5 was released, titled 1.21.11 Pre-Release 5 Unobfuscated (or 1.21.11-pre5_unobfuscated when in the launcher). This is an experimental version released in preparation for obfuscation being removed from Java Edition clients and servers.[2]
This is the final pre-release released in 2025.
Fixes
From the 1.21.11 development versions
- MC-304409 – The enchantment glint is extremely bright on items with animated textures.
- MC-304593 – Charge attacks from spears held in the off hand can disable shields when holding an axe in the main hand.
- MC-304603 – Dolphins no longer follow players in boats.
From the previous development version
- MC-304703 – Zombified piglins stop sprinting after some time while chasing.
