The Orb of Dominance is an object in Minecraft Legends that was wielded by the Seer during the piglin invasion of the Overworld.

Appearance

The Orb of Dominance, despite its name, is a small, cube-shaped floating object . It is white with glowing magenta borders, and turns counter-clockwise on a vertical axis. It is known to emit intense light when active.

Properties

Little is known about the usage of the Orb of Dominance, except that it can emit a ray of magenta light at target objects. The light can cause beacons to become corrupt, giving them distorted properties (in this case, the ability to block sunlight and moonlight). When wielded, it floats in front of the wielder's hand, giving it the same glow that the Orb emits.

Biography

When two piglin outposts were destroyed, the Great Hog punished the Beast for leading their army to their doom. As a plot of revenge, they called upon their advisor, the Seer, in order to empower the piglins somehow. The Seer called upon a group of runts to bring them the core of a beacon. They then brought out their Orb of Dominance and used its power to corrupt the core, distorting its appearance. Once placed in its container, the newly named Night Beacon turned active and its beam blocked sunlight, starting eternal night. The beacon was later destroyed by the hero and daylight was restored, but the further fate of the Orb of Dominance remains unknown.
