The Well of Fate is a structure that can be found within Minecraft Legends. It is one of the few structures that can't be removed, like Improvement Hubs.
Lore
The Well of Fate acts as the residence for the three Hosts and is where they managed to summon the Hero for training before sending them to the Overworld where they have to save it from piglins.
According to A Hero's Guide to Saving the Overworld, the waters of the Well of Fate is connected to every wellhouse and village fountain, allowing the villagers to thrive. However, because of the Well of Fate's vital water, all structures with the Well's water are targeted by piglins for attack. When the Great Hog arrived to the Overworld, they attempted to destroy the Well of Fate, corrupting it and its surroundings.
Interaction
The Well of Fate serves as an indirect hub for improvements with the improvement hubs surrounding it. It is also used by the player as a fast travel location and their default spawn point if no wellhouse has been built.[1]
It is also attacked by the Great Hog near the end of the story. It does not affect the fight in any way. It almost gets destroyed after defeating the Great Hog in a cutscene, but the well is too powerful to be destroyed.

"The Well of Fate is the Hero's first respawn and fast travel point and the building site for improvement structures. This ancient spring feeds every village fountain, sustaining life across the overworld." |
THE WELL OF FATE – You will discover many interesting locations across the Overworld, but none as important as the Well of Fate. Nestled among the rolling hills and rocky outcrops of the fatelands, this impressive structure is an icon of unity, and vital to your mission.
THE HOSTS – This location is a shining light that ties the Overworld together and is connected to every corner of the land. Every time you return here, you'll find the Hosts going about their business and you can use your resources to build upgraded structures.
SYMBOL – The Well of Fate is the origin of all life in the Overworld and stands tall as a beacon of unity, renewal, and harmony. Unsurprisingly, it is the piglins' top target. If the Well of Fate falls, the whole of the Overworld will follow.
CONNECTED – The water from the well's spring travels all across the Overworld. It flows from all functioning fountains in every village, so you can fast-travel to any flowing village fountain and any wellhouse you have built.
