Tim is a mythical figure created by the Old Builders, whose legend was told to inspire competitors in the Builder Games to keep playing.
Appearance
Tim is only seen on posters, and is portrayed as a white-skinned male with blue eyes and clad in white armor adorned with gold and diamonds. He is always seen making one expression, a muted glare with raised eyebrows. According to Hadrian, he is meant to be three blocks tall.
Personality
The Old Builders portray him as a brave man who cares for his teammates since he single-handedly brought his entire team home. By extension he is regarded as incredibly selfless and noble, Nell saying he'd never act "hubristic".
Biography
At an unknown time in the past, Tim was created as a means to control those contained within the Builder Games. The story spread and inspired hope, incentivizing competing in the games with the hope of escape.
Tim was first mentioned by Otto in passing, who claimed to have "never seen such heated play" since his era. After being sent to the competitor village, Jesse was surprised to see him revered, doubly so just how much. As the games progressed, they have conversations with Nell and Otto about his legend, making Jesse quite suspicious. Eventually, they get shown his armor by Hadrian, who remarks people are comparing Jesse to a "New Tim". As he remarks about how important his memory is, Jesse figures out Tim is just a fabrication, and Hadrian confesses to the scheme.
Powers and abilities
Tim was said to be exceptionally skilled and mighty, being able to survive extreme tactics and managed to do what no one else could, defeat the Old Builders. His armor in particular was regarded as impossibly durable, never even getting dirty. He is said to have been a master at seemingly any possible task, with characters claiming feats such as narrowly digging a hole in a wall to escape danger.
