The nectar is sucked directly from the flowers.
How to Identify
A shrub or small tree. It grows 6 m tall. The leaves are sword shaped. They are 8 cm long by 1 cm wide. They are hairy. The branches hand down. The flowers form red brushes 10 cm long.
Notes
There are about 25-30 Callistemon species.
