It is a subtropical plant. It grows along roadsides in Yunnan at about 1,000 m above sea level. In Argentina it also grow from sea level to 1,000 m above sea level.

A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. There are several stems and they form roots at the nodes. They lie along the ground. They are 20-40 cm long. The leaves are almost round and 2 cm long by 1 cm wide. The fruit is a flattened round capsule with 2 sections and 4 valves and 1-3 seeds.
Evolvulus nummularius, also known as the dwarf morning glory, is a species of flowering plant in the morning-glory family. It is an annual or perennial plant.
