Where to Find It
It is a tropical plant. In Ethiopia it grows between 500-2,100 m above sea level.
How to Identify
A herb. It grows 50 cm to 1 m tall. Leaves occur in a ring around the nodes. They are hairy. It has spines. The flowers are violet. They are in clumps at the nodes.
