Behavior
Key golems remain asleep until a hero comes near, at which point they awaken and attempt to flee. A hero must attack a key golem to collect it, causing it to strap itself onto the hero's back. While being carried, the golem squirms and cries out in fear. If the hero is damaged, the key golem escapes and returns to its original location. Certain mobs are also capable of picking up key golems, and if such a mob is killed, the golem returns to its original location.

Quotes
KEY GOLEM – You'll find these cute little mobs hiding throughout the world. You must carry them on your back to a locked door, as they're too afraid to go alone. If you take damage while carrying one, it will scurry back to where you found it.
