A large climbing vine in the pumpkin family (Cucurbitaceae) found in tropical regions. The fruit, leaves, and roots are all edible parts of this plant.
Notes
Trichosanthes palmata is probably now Ceratosanthes palmata and Trichosanthes bracteata is probably now Trichosanthes tricuspidata
