How to Identify
A palm. It grows in compact clumps. It is small and grows to 3 m tall. The plants have small thorns. There can be 3 fruit bunches per palm. There are 20-60 fruit per bunch. The fruit are round and purple. The fruit are 3-5 cm long by 3 cm wide. The skin is thick and leathery. The pulp is light cream. The juicy pulp is slightly fibrous. There is a small seed.
