How to Identify
A palm. It has a short stem and it is underground. There are 8-11 leaves in a ring. The leaflets are arranged in a regular fashion. The flowers are on a short stalk and point upwards amongst the leaves. The fruit have 2 or 3 seeds. They are oval and 4.5-5.5 cm long by 2-2.5 cm wide. They are brown.
