Where to Find It

It grows in tropical and subtropical places. It grows in monsoon forests and vine thickets. In tropical Queensland it grows from 170-780 m altitude.

How to Identify

A shrub. It grows 1 m high. It is often lying along the ground. The leaves are simple and 1-6 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. They are hairy. The flowers can be in groups or single and in the axils of leaves or at the ends of branches. The flowers have 5 petals and are yellow or orange. They are 7-11 mm long.

Notes

There are about 100 Sida species.
