Tutorial:Livestreaming

This tutorial will show you how to start a livestream through Java and Bedrock editions in both computer and mobile devices.

Note that this article only explains the essential steps to start a livestream, without counting other factors such as the chosen configured options of the user.

Computer devices

Any edition

As in the present days, software vision mixers such as Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) and Streamlabs are commonly used and recommended programs for streaming.

OBS Studio

  1. Open OBS Studio, or otherwise install it in their website.
  2. Go to the "Settings" → "Stream" menu.
  3. Click the "Connect Account (recomended)" button, where you will select to choose an account of your selected service to stream.
  4. You can then click on the "Manage Broadcast" button, customize the settings of your livestream, and, after that, start it using "Start Streaming".

Streamlabs

  1. Open Streamlabs, or otherwise install it in their website.
  2. Sign in with the content platform in which you want to stream.
  3. After signing in, and having set the configured options of your choice, click on the "Go Live" button, where you can configure the livestream's title, description, thumbnail etc. and start it with "Confirm & Go Live".

Mobile devices

Any version

Applications such as StreamLabs Mobile can be used, having identical features to its desktop counterpart, but can have inferior quality than of desktop livestreams due to the hardware limitations of mobile devices.
