A shrub. It lies along the ground. It grows 4 m tall. The branches are hollow. The bark is reddish-brown and papery. It flakes off. The leaves are almost round and can be entire or have irregular lobes. The flowers are in rings. The fruit are orange berries in rings. It usually climbs on oak trees.
