Elytra (singular form elytron) are a pair of wings that let the user glide through the air. Firework rockets can be used to boost, allowing true flight. They were used by Jesse to get into the floating tower in Above and Beyond.
History
In Above and Beyond, Jesse discovers a pair of elytron hidden inside Jack & Nurm’s Adventure Emporium. After finding firework rockets from the backstage of Romeo's event, Jesse equipped the elytra and flew towards the floating tower.
Properties
When equipped, the elytra allow the wearer to glide rather than fall. They provide a method of fast aerial movement but require a high starting point to be effective, unless firework rockets are used which makes the user able to fly rather than glide.
