Strength is a status effect which increases attack damage.
Effect
In Java Edition, it increases melee damage by 3HP.png)

In Bedrock Edition, melee damage under the Strength effect can be found through the equation , where is the default damage of whatever weapon or tool is used to attack.[1] Example for an iron sword:

Exceptions
Strength does not affect the damage of spear charge attacks,[2] or the damage of ranged attacks.
Causes
Immune mobs
- Withers and ender dragons are immune to Strength.
- Any mob that cannot attack or only attacks with projectiles is unaffected by Strength.
